Regions & Provinces
Spain
is divided into Regions, which are sub-divided into Provinces.
Thus the Valencian Community Region is divided into Castellon, Valencia
and Alicante. This is further confused by the fact that the main towns of
each Province are often the same name as the Province itself, e.g. Alicante
The River Ebro (Ebre) rises in the Cantabrian Mountains near the North coast of Spain and runs parallel to the French border in an easterly direction, and flows out into the Mediterranean Sea, south of Barcelona.
Rivers in Spain (North to South):
Mino
Ebro
Duero
Tagus
Guadiana
